Weapons Procedures
M3P
None of the sighting methods for the gun use any computed methods to calculate required elevation for aiming at a target. The MMS Line of Sight indicator as displayed on the PDU or MFDs simply shows relative azimuth and elevation of the MMS, and does not factor in range or any other factors for an accurate trajectory calculation.

Rocket Cue Setup
The elevation of the rocket cue displayed on the MFD and ODA is directed by the selected type of rocket and the range source used. The elevation tables used in the real OH-58D Kiowa Warrior are based on firing from a 50ft hover. This results in the rocket cue being less accurate in other flight profiles. If in doubt, eyeball it!

R4. Zone A/B Selection
PRESS
Pressing R4 will activate Data Entry Mode. Input a valid rocket ID number using the table displayed on the MFD page and press Enter to validate. Upon successful entry into Zone A, Zone B will automatically be selected. Successful validation of the Zone B entry will exit Data Entry Mode.
Rocket Cue Setup - Selecting Fuze and Range
Bunker and Delay fuze settings for rockets are currently not available in DCS World. Contact fuze rockets will always detonate upon impact. Airburst fuze distance/time settings for rockets are currently not available in DCS World. Illumination and Smoke rockets detonate at a fixed distance that cannot currently be set.

UP
The options available in the Weapons Page depend on the type of rockets selected. One or both of Airburst and Contact fuze may be present as options at bezels L4 and L5.
L4/L5. Contact Fuze/Cue Distance
PRESS
Data Entry Mode will be activated on selection of L5. Enter the desired fuze setting - 'S' for Superquick, 'B' for Bunker or a value between 10-45 for Delay fuze. On validation of this entry, Data Entry Mode will be reactivated to accept range source. Enter 'L' for laser, 'N' for navigation point or a range between 500-8000 meters. Successful validation of this data will close Data Entry Mode.
L4/L5. Airbust Fuze/Cue Distance
PRESS
Data Entry Mode will be activated on selection of L5. Enter 'L' for laser, 'N' for navigation point or a range between 500-8000 meters. Successful validation of this data will close Data Entry Mode.
Unguided Rockets
The azimuth of the rocket cue is driven by the MMS Line of Sight. The elevation of the rocket cue is determined by the rocket type and range source as input into the system. See 'Rocket Cue Setup' section for more details.
