Set Throttle

Set Turbosupercharger (B)

IDLE CUT-OFF (AFT)
Set Propeller RPM Control (P)
INCREASE RPM (FULL FWD)
Prime the engine
As Required
If operating in warm weather, 2-4 strokes are required.
If operating in cold weather, 4-6 strokes are required.
Set Magneto Selector Switch
BOTH
Flick the Starter switch up to ENGAGE, then back to OFF.
Set Starter switch to ENERGIZE position for 15 seconds
Set and hold the starter switch to ENGAGE
Once engine fires, set Mixture Control (M)
AUTO RICH (FWD)
Release the Starter switch when the engine runs on its own
ENGINE WARM UP
Adjust throttle to 900 RPM, then verify correct engine operation
Oil Pressure: 75-85 psi
In cold weather, you can expect an oil pressure increase to 150-200 psi before it settles down to its normal range of 75-85 psi.
Oil temperature: ~50 deg C
Fuel pressure: 22-24 psi
Cylinder Head Temperature: 100-260 deg C.

ENGINE WARM UP
Adjust throttle to 900 RPM, then verify correct engine operation
Hydraulic Pressure: 800 and 1100 psi
Vacuum Suction: 3,85 – 4,15 in Hg
Once everything is stabilized and operating at the values listed above, increase throttle to above 1000 RPM
POST-START
Set Horizon Gyro
Uncage/Set As Needed
Left click on the Caging knob to uncage the gyro
Scroll mousewheel to rotate the Horizon Alignment Knob to align the horizon line slightly
below the wings. Since we are sitting nose high on the ground.
Check that directional gyro has had enough time to calibrate by comparing its heading with the magnetic compass’ heading
Turn on radio
Select Channel A, B, C or D (as per mission briefing)
Rotate AUDIO knob to adjust volume as desired.
Set Radio Mode switch RIGHT to REM (Remote Operation)
